Wedding Photo in Desert Helped Drought Victims

An unusual photo of the newlyweds made in the arid region of Australia, Western Queensland, helped to raise 15 000 dollars in social networks to help farmers, who are losing the last hope for rain.

Wedding Photo in Desert Helped Drought Victims

Author of the picture Edwin Robertson-Kaningeym, who posted it to Facebook, told that a week before the wedding the bride's family was forced to sell all their cattle because of the problems caused by the prolonged drought. Photographer asked everyone who decides to share this post, to donate $ 3 to the fund supporting the residents of internal areas of Australia. The campaign was successful, and it will help farmers not to lose heart. Now almost no grass grows in Queensland, and people have to cut down trees so that cattle could eat its leaves, or to slaughter animals, which have nothing to eat. Drought causes devastation, depression and suicide.
