UAE to Build Mountain for Frequent Rains

In the Arabian Peninsula desert, where Emirates are situated, rainfall happens only several times a year. The construction of the mountain is seen as an alternative to seawater desalination and cloud seeding, which are very expensive. But first, scientists from the National center for atmospheric research and the US National centre of meteorology and seismology must figure out the best height of the building and the most suitable location. And then the engineers will be engaged in practical calculations to understand, whether it is possible to create such a mountain or not. If the project proves to be too expensive, the UAE government will refuse to implement it. Now the UAE allocated 5 million USD on the «Research agenda for strengthening rain».
