Due to the global warming and the El Niño phenomenon there is a mass coral bleaching in Australia that was recorded by the professionals at James Cook University. Changes have occurred in the Northern part of the famous Great Barrier Reef.

Scientists watching the reef under water and conducting aerial photography over several months, say that the mass death of corals over the last 18 years occurs for the third time, but now the scale of the phenomenon is truly catastrophic. The reason is that the water in the ocean became much warmer. The temperature increase puts a huge reef stress, and eventually the corals turn lifeless white.
