Sunbathing Will Replace Laundry

Китайцы Waste of water for laundry might quite soon become an anachronism. In only a couple of years all clothes would clean up by the sunlight. Chinese researchers invented a fabric that gets rid of dirt and stains by itself, when exposed to direct sunlight.

To be honest, self-cleaning fabric is not such a new of an invention. It was discovered quite a while ago, that regular cotton sheet covered with titanium dioxide is almost always clean. This substance is proven to eliminate dirt and germs, if catalyzed by powerful ultraviolet radiation.

The Chinese upgraded this process by adding nitrogen, iodine and silver to titanium dioxide. Self-cleaning fabric is supposed to be covered with this substance only once: it wouldn’t get rinsed off by rain or regular laundry.
