Sea Plays Organ in Croatia

Few resorts can boast such a city landmark. In Zadar on the Adriatic coast there is a unique building, a musical instrument, which makes sounds from nature.

This system of 35 tubes was invented by a Croatian architect Nikola Bašić. Sea surf gets inside the "body" through the holes in the concrete steps. Water forces air to pass through the tubes with different strength, and eventually the space is filled with charming and mysterious sounds. The most interesting is that the waves are transformed not only into music. At nightfall the light show begins on the banks. Plates installed on the seafront begin to shimmer with rainbow colors. Energy for that accumulates during the day, not only through the solar panels, but also through the surf.
