Robot Diver Will Help Scientists to Unravel Ocean Mysteries

Underwater robot is quite able to replace humans in diving. He has all the necessary features: stereoscopic vision, haptic sensory system and artificial intelligence. OceanOne transmits a high quality picture and sound to the operator, and it also knows how to push off with his hands from a variety of obstacles and to manipulate objects that will help to examine the remains of sunken ships and coral reefs in dangerous places for the diver. However, the robot is ready to work with people: in a joint diving he is able to communicate via gestures.
