Mozart and Vivaldi Sound Like Trash

27.01.2012

Waste dumps are extremely harmful for our ecology – especially when they are situated close to natural water bodies. It’s good to hear though, that not only ecologists are concerned about that: artists stay tuned as well. Everybody knows about fashion or interior designers who create masterpieces out of trash. It appears to be that garbage might also sound pretty – and young artists from Paraguay have proven that. We admit that their violins are not even close to Stradivari. If music goes from heart, it doesn’t matter, if it’s made of tin cans or precious lumber.

“Orchestra of recycled instruments” – that is how the musicians call their band. As a matter of fact, main idea of this project is to make art affordable for everyone, regardless of family income. Participants of the project used to work at local waste dumps, and now they are studying music.
