Health of the participants of the summer Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro is not under threat

Last year the water quality in the Bay, which will host the sailing competitions, was on doubt among experts because of the presence of viruses, dangerous for the gastric and respiratory tracts. The reason was the sewage contamination. Authorities promised to improve the treatment system, and now the international sailing Federation has no claims to the place of regatta.

In addition, Rio de Janeiro modernized and expanded marina: the number of places for swimming in water vehicles has increased from 140 to 415, the amount of dry storages - from 70 to 240.
