Poisonous fish used to be the indigenous inhabitants of the Pacific Ocean. However, according to the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas, recently puffer fish was discovered in the Black Sea, which belongs to the basin of the Atlantic Ocean. Two special kind Lagocephalus sceleratus were caught in November in Sevastopol. According to some assumptions, dangerous fish came to the Black Sea coast from the Aegean Sea.

Also ichthyologists afraid that without seeing aggression from local species near the Crimean coast, individuals of fugu begin to multiply uncontrollably, suppressing the representatives of the local aquatic fauna. This, for example, has already happened in the Mediterranean Sea where poisonous fish has spread to the shores of Spain. However, biologists believe that our water bodies are not threatened by such invasion for a simple reason - for this fish the Black Sea water temperature in winter is too low. They are not dangerous for bathers. The most important precaution is not to try to eat this exotic delicacy.
