On the coast, near the city of Brisbane (Australia) thousands of blue jellyfish (Catostylus mosaicus) were taken away from the sea. Biologists note that nothing similar has happened for 25 years in these places.

There are several reasons for this invasion: the abundance of food in coastal waters, the combination of currents, seasonal North winds and tide. The fact is that coelenterates move «adrift», not controlling the direction. As a result, a large number of individuals can be thrown to the ground and die. In the sun, jellyfish dry quickly, leaving no trace.
